Webcast Recap: 12 New Books to Read This Summer

Written by Deborah B. Ford

May 23, 2017

Strange the DreamerIn our webcast today, Kayleigh and I talked about some of our favorite upcoming books you might want to check out this summer. Whether your to-be-read pile grew or it became prioritized, we are sure your readers will get a kick out of future-telling noodleheads and blue librarians.  I’ve also included  two read-alikes for each of our amazing dozen.

In addition to providing you with great book selections, Junior Library Guild continues to build resources to help you use these titles. Webcast titles are being added Booktalk to Go LiveBinder for Spring 2017.  This binder is full of resources for teaching and sharing these wonderful selections. Thanks to our marketing team, BTG LiveBinder Tabs with links are now added to the book detail page. This is a direct link to the resources in the binder. JLG BTG titles are also added to our Pinterest board and tweeted out by following Deborah B. Ford. Look for book trailers and archived webcasts on our JLG YouTube Playlists and on our website at More JLG Services/Video Resources.

This webcast will be archived and posted on the JLG website at a later date. Your certificate of attendance can be printed after watching the archived video for at least ten minutes.

Join us for our next national webcast on June 13 at 3:00PM EDT when Kierra Parrott, the reviews director for School Library Journal and Library Journal and a former children’s librarian, will join me for Books We Love, K-12. Discover more not-to-be-missed books.
